TokenPLSThanks for tracking this down. Here is where it landed; the changes are fixed in our tree and ship with the next release.
- No screen in the app writes
dns, tun, modeand the other app-level fields into a single configuration's patch; each has its own chapter (DNS, Inbound, General, Experimental; the outbound mode is on Home). A patch that carries them anyway, written straight into the data as in #67, is read like this: a configuration that keeps its original text, runs a script or has its own layer moves them into that layer, where they take effect; any other configuration drops them.- The old patch editor, if it is opened, refuses to save such a patch and says which chapter each field belongs on.
- Found along the way: on a configuration that runs a script, changes saved under Certificates & Trust were dropped. They are kept now. On an older configuration that still uses a custom override, those changes do not take effect, and saving now says so instead of showing "Saved".
- The Custom Rules page now has a line telling you that rules for every configuration go in a module, made under Profiles › Modules.
Closing this one; thanks again for the careful report.
